Targeted Areas of Development
MO Hwy 150
This stretch of Missouri highway with many acres of developable land connects two affluent suburbs in the region: Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Leawood, Kansas. Hwy 150 intersects with I-49 giving nearby residents prime access for their commute, including the estimated 2,500+ who live at the affordable luxury apartments at Grand Summit.

I-49 Outer Roads
Crews are working right now on one of the biggest economic development projects in the City’s history: converting the I-49 Outer Roads from one-way traffic to two-way traffic. This $15 million project will create a more inviting environment for businesses thanks to the improved access, not just for drivers, but pedestrians and bicyclists as well.

Blue Ridge Boulevard
The City of Grandview has a multi-million dollar makeover planned for our Blue Ridge corridor, including a new Kansas City Southern Railroad Bridge and other crucial improvements such as widened lanes. More importantly, more miles of sidewalks will be constructed for pedestrians, as well as ADA compliant intersections. These are urgent improvements to better connect us to KCMO’s Martin City and home to Martin City K-8, a Grandview C-4 school. Construction is set to begin on the project in 2023.
